E.R.D. are much more known in Europe (especially in England) then in the US, despite being Americans themselves.
The same can be said for Julian Casablancas, he is the lead singer and frontman of The Strokes, an american Alternative Rock/Post Punk band.
Both are very talented artists, they write their own lyrics and music (especially Julian is very good at the latter).
They are well known in Europe, so i suppose you are from US.
